Regulatory Accountant (Branch) AVP

Prominent, international bank seeks an AVP to join their accounting department. This role will be primarily focused on financial reporting to the head office. It is a key role within the firm's consolidated financial reporting process. Responsibilities include: • Preparation of monthly GAAP and IFRS financial statements to the head office • Statistical reporting for the financial statement disclosures • Providing variance analysis to the head office reporting team • Participation in the internal audit and month-end closing • Front office trade P&L booking and hedge accounting adjustments • Special projects and new process initiatives This is a hybrid role, 3 days per week in the downtown Manhattan office Qualified candidates should have at least 4 years of accounting experience in a financial services environment with strong exposure to financial products. Base salary 100-125k depending on experience
