Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding compliance team! Reporting to the Senior Manager of Vendor, Trade, and Regulatory Compliance, our Regulatory Compliance Manager will ensure that our products comply with US state and federal laws. This role will actively engage with cross-functional teams and vendor partners to maintain adherence to Kendra Scott's regulatory processes and test protocols. This position is key to establishing and maintaining brand protection and customer safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Stay abreast of relevant regulations, standards, and directives applicable to Kendra Scott's jewelry and lifestyle products, such as Prop 65, PFAS, the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
  • Responsible for co-developing, implementing, evaluating, and maintaining a regulatory management system that includes annual testing requirements of core products.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of new product categories to ensure compliance with safety and labeling requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring product compliance standards through test report auditing. Maintain test report repository in PLM for all products.
  • Partner with Wholesale, Collaboration, and Legal to ensure we meet our partner's product regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with third-party testing labs. Assist in yearly SOW contract review and price negotiation.
  • Assist the Sr. Manager in creating regulatory test protocols when new product categories are in development.
  • Assist the Sr. Manager with new vendor onboarding for regulatory requirements, vendor resources, and training.
  • Perform an annual audit of test protocols to ensure all are accurate and up to date with current regulations.
  • Perform annual conflict mineral surveys for all jewelry partners.
  • Develop and deliver training to cross-functional teams on regulatory topics.
  • Participate in special projects regarding new and emerging regulations.
Our Ideal Candidate will have:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years in the compliance space.
  • Background in leveraging technology for efficiency in operations.
  • Experience working in regulatory compliance in the retail sector- jewelry, fashion, or footwear industry preferred.
  • Previous experience utilizing Product Lifecycle Management software, QAD, Oracle, and Coupa.
  • A knowledge of jewelry and apparel product standards, testing protocols, and related laws (e.g., FTC, ASTM, ANSI, etc.).
  • A working knowledge of AFFIRM and restricted substances list.
  • Experience with Canada, Mexico, and EU regulations a plus.
  • Analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Self-starter that is innovative with a knack for process improvement.
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships across the organization, third-party service providers, and vendor base.
