This role provides architectural oversight for the development of moderately complex new and/or enhanced applications or products. Integrates components built by application developers and/or programmers as needed.

We expect you to take ownership of your role, providing your expertise on processes improvement and best practices implementation, sharing your knowledge and ideas with the rest of the team.

You will be the face of DXC in front of the team and the customer, and we trust that you will perform a great job understanding the customer needs to deliver robust, clean, and scalable solutions.

Essential Job Functions

• 6+ years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer or similar role.
• Strong experience with working with cloud native applications, container orchestration platforms such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), AWS Fargate, Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR).
• Experience with Mainframe (COBOL and JCL Microfocus).
• Design, build and testing cloud native applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with application modernization and migration to the cloud.
• Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure, including networking, storage, security, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain documentation and architecture diagrams to support the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for application modernization and cloud adoption.
• Help customers build monitoring and optimizing cloud resources to ensure cost effectiveness and performance.
• Mentor, and train the assigned team.

• Strong communication skills to communicate systems proposals to management and customers and provide systems diagnoses and resolution for current systems
• Strong organization skills to prioritize work, balance and lead complex projects
• Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior level personnel, subordinates, and team members
• Good leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel
• Ability to integrate complex hardware and software systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
