Job Description
Who Are We?
Our company is based on the science of our founder, Stanley Qi, one of the original CRISPR co-inventors who then furthered the technology so that DNA does not need to be cut to accomplish gene regulation. Instead, we regulate the epigenome to suppress and activate multiple genes simultaneously. We are further evolving the platform and leveraging its strengths to address unmet medical needs.Â
We are looking for exceptional team members who want an active role in building a rapidly growing biotech.
Epic Bio is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate II/Senior Research Associate to expand efforts in the development of novel epigenome engineering tools for therapeutic and cell therapy applications.
The successful candidate will develop and execute high-throughput experiments in mammalian cell lines, and work collaboratively with colleagues to build discovery pipelines that enable potentially transformative technologies for a variety of current and future therapeutic indications. They will contribute broadly across multiple technical areas to accelerate the development of programmable epigenetic editing as a therapeutic modality.
This position requires ambition, adaptability, and a team-oriented mindset, but also a strong ability to organize parallel projects and work independently to establish pipelines in uncharted research territories.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement high-throughput screening platforms for gene & protein expression analysis
- Develop DNA constructs, CRISPR libraries, and engineered cell lines
- Coordinate tasks across multiple projects, demonstrating prioritization and planning
- Design, execute, and interpret experiments in line with project timelines and strategic goals
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, or related fields, with minimum 3+Â years of relevant research experience in industry or academia, or MS in related discipline with minimum one year of experience
- 2+ years' experience in molecular cloning and mammalian cell culture
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient working knowledge and experience in any of the following:
- Flow cytometry, FACS, ELISA, RT-qPCR
- Design & delivery of plasmids and lentiviral vectors into multiple primary and/or immortalized cell types
- High-throughput pooled and/or arrayed CRISPR screening
- Lentiviral vector design, packaging, transduction, and cell line creation
- NGS illumina library preparation
- Data analysis in R, Python, JMP, Prism, or similar
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated technical competency in:
- Flow cytometry, FACS, ELISA, RT-qPCR
- Design &Â delivery of plasmids and lentiviral vectors into multiple primary and/or immortalized cell types
- High-throughput pooled and/or arrayed CRISPR screening
- Lentiviral vector design, packaging, transduction, and cell line creation

The salary range for this position is $90,000 USD to $110,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including, without limitation, individual education, experience, tenure, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data, including potential adjustments for geographic location.
