This role involves hands-on work across a range of remodeling and renovation projects in both occupied and unoccupied homes. Primary Responsibilities • Execute diverse residential construction tasks, including framing, drywall, trim and finish carpentry, painting, flooring, cabinetry installation, and tile setting • Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and project specifications accurately • Install baseboards, doors, hardware, and cabinetry with precision • Perform basic plumbing and electrical fixture replacements as required • Ensure safety, dust control, and cleanliness—especially in occupied homes • Maintain organized, safe, and compliant job sites • Support material handling, site prep, and demolition as needed • Communicate clearly with clients, team members, and subcontractors • Adhere to safety standards and applicable building codes Qualifications • 3+ years of hands-on experience in residential remodeling or construction • Solid carpentry foundation; proficiency across multiple trades is a plus • Ability to read blueprints and scopes of work • High attention to detail and pride in finish quality • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Must have dependable transportation, valid driver’s license, and personal tools • Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working on ladders or outdoors • High school diploma or GED preferred Preferred Expertise • Finish carpentry and cabinetry installation • Drywall hanging, taping, and finishing • Tile setting and waterproofing • Interior/exterior painting • Light electrical or plumbing knowledge • Custom millwork and built-ins • Experience with older or historical homes Benefits • Medical and dental insurance coverage • Paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave • Volunteer Time Off (VTO) • Travel per diem when applicable • Mileage reimbursement • Ongoing paid training and certifications • Tool replacement program • Bi-weekly pay schedule • Employee referral bonuses • Provided safety equipment • Annual company events and team-building outings Work Schedule • Full-time, Monday–Friday • Occasional weekends or overtime depending on project deadlines Work Environment • Hybrid field role based in the greater Sacramento region • Travel to various residential job sites required (per diem available for travel assignments) Equal Opportunity Commitment Amarant Design and Build Services is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
