Residential Construction Service Technician

We are looking to add the right candidate to our established team of Service Technicians that work to keep some of Seattle's most beautiful homes in pristine condition. The Dyna Builders Service Department is geared towards providing maintenance for our past clients, in addition to performing small projects that are too small for our home building division. Projects run the gamut from door and window adjustments and drywall repair to full kitchen and bath remodels. The Assistant Service Technician is responsible for providing support to the Service Manager in all the daily activities of the Dyna Builders' Service Department. Essential Functions/Duties & Responsibilities: • Assists with warranty work and maintenance requests, small projects, and close-outs of larger projects • Installs new products and tests them to ensure they are working correctly • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions • Effectively communicates with clients, internal staff, and subcontractors • Maintains inventory of all company owned or operated equipment and tools • Coordinates work required for completion • Performs other related duties as assigned Knowledge/Skills/Experience: • Highly organized, able to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in residential construction. • Demonstrated good judgement • Creative problem-solving skills • Knowledge & experience performing basic maintenance, demolition and carpentry • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: email, text, phone • Attention to detail • Ability to work in finished spaces with clients present Location and transportation: Dyna job sites are typically in and around the Seattle area and Eastside. You must have reliable transportation. • Must have a valid driver license with clean driving record Physical Requirements: • Visually or otherwise identify, observe, and assess distance, color, and depth. Required to regularly communicate with others and exchange accurate information. • Able to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment. • Frequently moves up to 25 lbs and occasionally move up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work within different temperature changes, indoors to outdoors, between sites and working around equipment/machines; occasionally ascend/descend a ladder or stairs required. • PPE for this position includes safety glasses, hearing protection, slip resistant/closed-toed or steel-toed shoes, gloves, and safety vests.
