Job Description
The Resource Navigator will conduct intake and refer and assist clients to resources and public assistance programs. This is a full-time 3-month long position with the possibility of extension.

We require all employees to comply with our Mandatory Vaccination Policy. As a condition of employment individuals will be asked to provide proof of compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact potential clients from outreach efforts to encourage participation and enrolling when appropriate
- Conduct client intakes including collecting key information in a sensitive and nonjudgmental manner
- Develop trust and rapport with clients and refer to programs and resources as needed
- Assist clients with applications to public assistance programs such as Cal Fresh, Medi-Cal, etc.Â
- Work closely with program staff to provide a continuum of servicesÂ
- Adhere to all program guidelines, policies, protocols and workflows
- Update and shares community resources with program staff
- Track and monitor program data and deliverables
- Support staff members in training and capacity building on case management and resource navigation services
- Other duties as assignedÂ
Travel
- Travel within Los Angeles County, including to CORE’s headquarters in the City of Los Angeles’ Chinatown DistrictÂ
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related filed or two years’ experience in resource navigation or equivalent experienceÂ
- Minimum 1-2 years in experience in resource navigation and/or case management, preferably in the public or non-profit sectorÂ
- Demonstrated experience working families from diverse age, cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic backgroundsÂ
- Demonstrated experience with data management and coordinationÂ
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing partnerships with organizations to meet needs of low-income clientsÂ
- Demonstrated experience in health and/or nutrition programs a plus.Â
- Ability to work independently and as part of a teamÂ
- Ability to empathize and establish supportive rapport with clients while maintaining professional boundariesÂ
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Proficient in MS Office applications and referral platforms
- Work proactively with little supervision
- Flexible and adaptive to a frequently changing environment
- Close attention to detail and a high level of accuracyÂ
- Experience working with FEMA Individual Assistance programs highly preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or another language highly preferredÂ
