Restaurant Chef Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or Culinary Degree (Mandatory) • At least two years of culinary and supervisory experience in a high-volume food production environment • Multi-unit supervisory experience (preferred) • Strong leadership and oral/written communication skills • Experience with computerized menu management systems and knowledge of office and industry software applications • Ability to work flexible hours • Proven problem-solving ability • Commitment to high-quality food procurement, production, and services Restaurant Chef Responsibilities • Oversee all culinary operations for the centralized kitchen (including catering) • Responsibility for the organization, coordination, and supervision of the preparation of food production, quality, portion control, and sanitation/safety standards • Training, coordinating, and evaluating the work of the production staff • Product procurement as well as recipe and product development • Plan, develop and supervise the production/culinary team using a comprehensive menu management program • Develop menus per customer tastes, nutritional needs, ease of preparation, and established procedures • Works with senior management to develop strategic plans for food preparation in non-kitchen venues, including the rental and organization of field kitchens • Control expenses to ensure financial goals Restaurant Chef Benefits • Health, dental, vision • 10% of salary given on day one towards 401k • Phone, car, and travel reimbursement • Great work/life balance At Goodwin Recruiting we are committed to our core values.
