Responsible for performing and directing distribution function for Fred Hutch pharmacies. This is a per diem position.Responsibilities • Prepare oncology-related medications and compounded pharmaceutical preparations, which include labeling and maintenance of patient records. • Direct pharmacy technicians, technicians in training, interns, and assistants in all areas of technical responsibilities. • Ensure that controlled substances are properly stored, dispensed, recorded, and inventoried. • Monitor oncology-related medication therapy for rational use. • Participate in drug utilization review data collection and assessment. • Communicate with providers and patients regarding medications that have been prescribed. • Know and follow all Pharmacy Department and Fred Hutch policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal laws.Qualifications Required: • Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy • One year of experience in pharmacy practice or completion of an American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists accredited residency training program. • State of Washington Pharmacist license. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams Preferred: • Doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited School of Pharmacy • Experience with Epic Willow and Beacon Oncology Applications • Experience in oncology pharmacy practice Pre-Employment Drug Screening: As a condition of employment Fred Hutch conducts pre-employment drug testing for this pharmacy role. All offers of employment in the pharmacy department are conditional on the applicant successfully completing and passing a drug test in accordance with the Fred Hutch policy. The hourly pay range for this position is from $77.11 to $128.50, which includes the per diem differential, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
