Retail Sales Associate

Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. During ourPop-Up Events, you’ll be on the frontlines of our mission—empowering individuals with textured hair by delivering exceptional customer service and curated product recommendations at military bases and community events. This role is ideal for someone who is personable, self-motivated, and passionate about both: beauty and service. Duties • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs. • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions. • Handle cash and manage cash register operations with accuracy. • Maintain knowledge of products to effectively upsell and promote items. • Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and enhance sales. • Assist in organizing merchandise for display. • Ensure that the pop-up display is clean, well-organized, and visually appealing. • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction. Experience • Previous experience inretail,sales, orcustomer serviceis preferred. • Motivated by commission and eager to exceed sales goals. • Familiarity with pop-up operations is a plus. • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as they can better serve diverse customers. • Proficiency in basic math and retail math for accurate cash handling and transactions. • Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with customers and team members. • Military affiliation strongly preferred: veteran, spouse, retiree, or dependent • Base accessis required (or ability to obtain it) • Interest in haircare, beauty, and wellness especially for textured hair • Reliable transportation and flexible schedule to attend pop-ups in San Diego • Living on base and no transportation can be discussed Job Type: Part-time Pay: $17.25 per hour Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week Application Question(s): • Will you be able to stand outdoors or indoors to do a pop-up?
