The Position
Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Revenue Cycle Data Analyst is a key member of the FP&A team and a key contributor for Specialty Infusion services, with core responsibilities of supporting Revenue Cycle Management and Operations with business intelligence and financial insights. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive KPI reports related to revenue cycle performance, including metrics such as collection rates, denial rates, and days in accounts receivable
• Automating and enhancing existing processes to drive efficiency and accuracy
• Identifying trends and opportunities to optimize RCM operations
• Supporting month-end revenue reporting and analysis
• Assisting in departmental forecasting and budgeting of labor and other operating expenses as needed
• Preparing and presenting financial analysis to Executive and Operational leaders
• Collaborating with Data and Analytics Engineers to enhance reporting and data infrastructure
• Deliver regular cadence and ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned
The Successful Candidate
The Revenue Cycle Data Analyst is a key member of this organization’s financial leadership team, demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities to lead the FP&A function for this rapidly growing organization. These competencies include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, computer science, or related discipline
• 5+ years of progressive financial and data analys experience
• Master’s degree and industry certifications preferred
• Prior experience with Power BI, Tableau, and similar BI tools
• Expert level understanding of SQL and stored procedures
• Ability to build collateral required to communicate complex solutions for internal and external executive audiences
• Experience and proven ability to drive automation and process improvement to increase accuracy and efficiency in reporting and analysis
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and common web programs
• Exceptional MS Excel skills, including deep experience with pivot tables, data structures, shortcut keys, and a wide variety of formulas
• Prior experience working with Medicare rules, regulations, and billing codes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize competing demands
• Self-motivated, self-starting personality
