Pay Range: $65,000- $85,000

General Description

The Risk Analysis Specialist (RAS) will support the Risk Analysis Manager in executing various BSA projects. The Risk Analysis Specialist will at times work directly with Apple Bank retail branches to assist in project completion, including the assessment and review of high risk accounts. The RAS will work directly with the Risk Analysis Manager to ensure that project completion is prioritized and deadlines are met. The successful candidate will be someone who has excellent time management skills and is highly adaptable. They will have direct contact with customers both over the phone and in person. The successful candidate will be required to perform an in-depth analysis on complex and high risk customer relationships in order to identify red flags and gain a deeper understanding of these relationships in order to mitigate risk to the Bank. When necessary, they may be required to travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides Risk Analysis Manager with relevant data needed to prepare periodic reports
• Assists with tracking branch progress as it relates to various FCC-related projects
• Assists branches with questions related to high risk accounts and customer re-onboards
• Performs RFI requests and tracks progress, including customer communications
• Contacts customers directly to obtain information
• Performs and documents risk reviews on business accounts
• Reviews and approves applications for various cash management products
• Performs daily monitoring and periodic reviews on customers who utilize cash management products and services
• Researches, analyzes and prepares written summaries on high risk relationships
• When needed, may be required to meet with clients in person to obtain required documentation

Skills, Education and Experience

• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
• Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude
• Requires discretion to handle confidential and sensitive material
• Minimum of 2 years' retail banking experience required.
• Prior experience working with high risk relationships
• Knowledge of BSA/AML and OFAC requirements
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Associate's degree or higher preferred or equivalent work experience
