Risk and Control Specialist
ISS STOXX is now seeking to hire a colleague to join our Enterprise Risk Management team, based in our Prague office. In this role, you will be part of an enthusiastic, international and diverse team that you can actively support beyond your own team boundaries. Your main task will be to support implementation and review of the Internal Control System within the ISS STOXX risk management program. This position offers extensive growth opportunities, both in terms of responsibilities and exposure.
The ideal candidate is willing to learn, and possesses an analytical and pragmatic mindset, ability to work in regulated environment, and the capability to work independently with a support if needed. Additionally, the role includes active communication with stakeholders from first line business function and management.
What you will do in your role
- Cooperate with risk representatives and stakeholders from business functions and support them in identification and documentation of risks in their area
- Take responsibility for selected functional areas in ICS framework implementation and review, specifically process maps creation and update, risk identification and assessment, and control documentation
- Support administration of Risk and Controls inventory, make sure that changes are reflected in a timely manner
- Support senior colleagues in preparing reports to management bodies and to the DB Group
- Support updates of the risk management framework
- Provide consultancy and support to 1st Line of Defense functions
- Develop a good working relationship with other departments to ensure that the risk management framework is effectively brought in and implemented across all relevant areas
- Drive projects depending on the yearly plan defined by risk management team
- Any ad hoc responsibilities as and when required
What you bring to ISS STOXX
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in risk management, preferably in non-financial risk or Internal control system management
- Willingness to learn
- Financial services experience is a plus
- Experience of working in a regulated environment is a plus
- Ability to collaborate and deliver on projects involving different internal and/or external stakeholders
- Attention to detail with ability to think pragmatically to address business issues
- Critical thinking, as well as ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Think out of the box and be open-minded
- Proficiency in English is a must
