Risk Management Coordinator

  • The Risk Management Coordinator will work with the Corporate Risk Management Team to support the multifaceted activities of risk, insurance, and crisis management.

Responsibilities

Insurance Programs

  • Supporting the team in capturing information needed for insurance program placement (Working across the organization to request and collate information)
  • Preparing documents for Presentations to underwriters, including applications for insurance and maintaining Confidential Disclosure Agreements with all insurers and brokers

Invoicing

  • Checking and submitting invoices for payment
  • Gaining appropriate approvals
  • Recording all charges in the payment log

Workers' compensation insurance

Support the administrative tasks associated with the workers' compensation insurance, including:

  • Wage statements
  • Obtaining personnel files as needed from HR
  • Site code maintenance
  • State reporting

Surety Bonds

  • Work with our broker and senior analyst to manage bond renewals.

Primary casualty post-placement support

  • Managing and ensuring the distribution of posting notices, auto ID cards, and other important documents

Support crisis management activities

  • System administration activities for mass notification
  • Routine support activities for mass notification users
  • Updates of information for Crisis management application

Insurance Budgets

  • Assist with data gathering and collation for budget purposes

Professional membership - RIMS

  • Manage team subscriptions to RIMS

Contract reviews

  • Ensure that requests for contract reviews are distributed to team members efficiently and follow up with team members if required

Meetings

  • Support the team in preparing materials for all types of meetings
  • Record minutes and action items when required

Intranet

  • Maintaining/updating Risk Management presence on Maxwell (BD intranet)

(Computer) Files

  • Maintaining insurance team shared folders /SharePoint/ Teams sites.

Team achievement calendar maintenance and tracking.

Update and maintain job aids for department activities

Other Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Help with routine inquiries relative to risk and insurance programs and practices
  • Support information requests from internal customers
  • Process any incoming mail (post office)

Experience and Education

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Committed with a growth mindset.
  • 2 + years experience in an administrative or analyst setting.
  • Good computer skills - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams, Intranet.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Insurance or risk management experience is a plus
  • Any experience with (UAT) user acceptance testing a plus
