Registered Nurse β OB/GYN (Coverage)
Location: OB/GYN Outpatient Clinic, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA Company: US Got People (USGP)
US Got People (USGP) is seeking a Registered Nurse β OB/GYN (Coverage) to join our team in providing high-quality care to military service members, veterans, and their families. This position is located at the OB/GYN Outpatient Clinic at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMC), VA.
Position Details:
- Employment Type: Coverage (PRN)
- Schedule: Monday β Friday, between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM (based on coverage needs)

- Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Graduate of a nursing program accredited by NLNAC or CCNE
- License:
- Active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state, territory, or jurisdiction (including D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, or U.S. Virgin Islands)
- Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience in womenβs health or
ambulatory care within the past two (2) years
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) β current and valid Immunization Requirements:
(Candidates must be current or willing to obtain)
- Hepatitis B (series and titer)
- Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
- TB Test
- Seasonal Influenza Vaccine
- COVID-19 Vaccine (if applicable) Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Participate in quality improvement activities, patient care evaluations, and planning
- Conduct patient assessments and recognize early signs of physical or mental health issues
- Assist physicians with OB/GYN procedures and treatments
- Document observations, procedures, and test results in patient records
- Educate patients and families on procedures, follow-up care, and test preparations
- Conduct patient interviews and assist in reviewing diagnoses and treatment plans
- Coordinate care with healthcare professionals and community resources
- Administer and monitor IVs after passing MTF IV placement test
- Deliver emergency treatment and manage stable phases of chronic conditions
- Provide patient education and emotional support as a patient advocate
- Perform standard RN duties, including triage, monitoring, and treatment
