UW Medical Center-Northwest - Endoscopyhas an outstanding opportunity for aRegistered Nurse to join our brand-new, state-of-the-art outpatient suite.
ABOUT OUR ENDOSCOPY UNIT
• This position will work at ourbrand-new outpatient endoscopy suite in North Seattle
• Our outpatient suite has 4 procedure rooms and 12 admit/recovery bays
• RNs provide procedural support for diagnostic and screening GI services, including colonoscopies
WORK SCHEDULE
• Must be available to work 10 hour day shifts, Monday - Friday
• RNs can work 3x10s or 4x10s
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide patient education and obtain informed consent prior to procedures
• Assist with patient admission and phone triage
• Assist providers during endoscopic procedures
• Provide patient care before, during, and after conscious sedation
• Administer medication
• Use and maintain endoscopic equipment
• Help manage emergencies and complications
• Document patient care and procedure details accurately in medical records
• Provide post-procedure care and patient discharge instructions
REQUIREMENTS
• 2 years of recent procedural or gastroenterology nursing experience
• Active BLS
• Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
