SAM Construction Groupis a fully integrated Developer/Builder of apartment communities who self-performs roofing. Job description Our current project, Home at Maricopa, is a 536 Unit Multi-family community with 6 apartment buildings and a clubhouse on 18.8 acres in the City of Maricopa. Duties/Responsibilities: • Membrane roofing installation (TPO) installation for new residential construction. • Welding • Perform maintenance and repair work on existing residential properties. • Oversee scheduling of roofing material and equipment. • Read and understand blueprints and construction documents. • Ensure quality of work. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements: • 2+ years of experience • New Construction • Reliable transportation Employee Benefits: • Medical, Dental and Vision • 401(k) matching • Life insurance/Disability • Paid vacation, sick and holidays Physical Requirements: • Ability to handle physical labor and strenuous tasks. • Able to stand and walk project site for extended period of times. • Regularly talk and/or hear. • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. • Occasionally required to but not limited to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment. • Must be able to position one-self to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics and tunnels. • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move at least 50 pounds regularly/occasionally • Must be able to respond quickly to sounds. • Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces. • Must be able to see and respond to dangerous situations. • Must be able to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds. • Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day. • Must be able to work in hot and cold environments and on concrete floors.
