Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various roofing techniques and materials, with a strong focus on quality and safety. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. Your expertise will contribute to the durability and aesthetics of our projects. Responsibilities • Install roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal. • Repair and replace damaged roofs, ensuring proper sealing and waterproofing. • Perform inspections to assess roof conditions and recommend necessary repairs. • Utilize power tools safely and effectively for roofing tasks. • Read blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion. • Conduct heavy lifting as required for material handling and installation. • Apply caulking and other sealants to prevent leaks and enhance durability. • Restore existing roofs through maintenance or replacement of worn components. • Assist in masonry work related to roofing structures as needed. Qualifications • Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields. • Familiarity with stucco application is a plus. • Knowledge of construction estimating for project planning is advantageous. • Skills in trim carpentry and concrete forming are beneficial. • Ability to read blueprints accurately is essential. • Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights. • Proficient in the use of power tools and safety equipment. • Attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
