We are seeking candidates for the position of RR Carpenter/Locksmith-First Class (1121) in the Maintenance/Bridges & Buildings. OVERALL DESCRIPTION Constructs, erects, installs, or repairs structures and fixtures made of wood, such as concrete forms, building frameworks, including partitions, joists, studding, and rafters, and wood stairways, window and door frames, fencing and hardwood floors using carpenter's hand tools and power tools. Performs other building trade roles including painting, welding, and assisting with assisting with concrete work. ADDITIONAL SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. • Must satisfactorily complete qualifications test as follows: • Basic mathematics, blue print reading, hand tools, and carpentry. • Must have previous experience as a carpenter in general building or industrial construction and roofing. • Must have valid class b license or equivalent.
