Sales Assistant

Global Foods, a successful food distribution company is seeking a Sa,es Assisgtant to support the Sales Manager and sales team. DUTIES ONCE TRAINED: Monitor and track all orders including key timelines such as pick updates, ETAs and any delays; Identify and flag potential product shipments and updates; Send order confirmations ; Request and organize freight quotes as needed; MARKETING: Assist in building EMAIL offer templates for ongoing line items and special buy opportunities; Draft oubtound quotes with nutrition, ingredients, features and benefits so Sales Manager just has to add her desired pricing comments;Create and maintain organized folders for product specifications and related documentation; Support outbound sales efforts by tracking outreach and follow-up tasks; Help maintain a customer outreach calendar.ACT DATABASE should be shared with Sales Manager; Track and manage new lead opportunities and ensure ACT(CRM) data is accurate and up to date. PRODUCT REQUESTS: Type (in template) product requests to the buying staff as they come in; Create follow ups in Outlook for active engagement with buyers to fulfill or offer alternatives. TRAVEL: Assist in travel preparation. Literature, appointment confirmations, Outlook calendar invites, routing, planning: Cover incoming calls, questions and sales support while sales manager is away. Travel with Sales Manager when appropriate. SKILLS REQUIRED: * Strong written and communication skills *Phone confidence.
