Sales Associate

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional service in a grocery store environment and will be responsible for assisting customers with their shopping needs. This role involves operating cash registers, handling transactions, and maintaining the sales floor to ensure an inviting shopping experience. Responsibilities • Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and selections. • Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately. • Ensure that products are well-displayed and organized. • Perform regular inventory checks to maintain stock levels. • Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items and enhance customer engagement. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, including aisles and checkout areas. • Utilize retail math skills to assist with pricing, discounts, and promotions. • Provide excellent phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries or concerns over the phone. • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve store performance. Experience • Previous experience in retail or grocery store settings is preferred but not required. • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is a plus. • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as communication with diverse customers is valued. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers of all backgrounds. • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
