Responsibilities • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs. • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions. • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately while ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures. • Maintain knowledge of products available in the grocery store to effectively assist customers. • Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales opportunities. • Supervise stock levels and assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves as needed. • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stock areas. Skills • Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. • Proficient in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions. • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. • Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required. • Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone. • Ability to supervise tasks effectively while working as part of a team. • Skills in upselling products to maximize sales opportunities. • Attention to detail when managing stock levels and maintaining store organization.
