We're looking for aCustomer Engagement Associateto help run the show at our thrift shops. You’ll support daily store operations, keep things looking great, provide awesome customer and donor experiences, and bring the kind of energy that makes our stores feel like community hubs.
This is a great fit for someone with retail experience who’s looking for more than just a job, you’ll be part of a mission-driven organization working to end homelessness and HIV/AIDS.
What You’ll Do
• Open and close the store when management isn’t around — you’ve got it covered
• Make sure every shopper, donor, and volunteer feels welcomed and appreciated
• Keep the store looking fresh and fabulous by creating stylish, shoppable displays
• Follow daily plans — from sales goals to team tasks to special promotions
• Help train new staff and volunteers so everyone knows the ropes
• Handle donations with care and make sure our inventory flows smoothly
• Follow all Housing Works policies, procedures, and standards
• Bring your ideas! Help us improve the store, grow sales, and create great vibes
• Support the mission by staying informed and spreading awareness in-store

• Can stand, bend, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds during your shift

Housing Works fights for funding and legislation to ensure that all people living with HIV/AIDS have access to quality housing, healthcare, HIV prevention, and treatment, among other lifesaving services.
Benefits:
We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion, based on your salary. Staff begins accruing PTO immediately for a total of up to 30 days earned in the first year. We offer employees an educational benefit.
