Job Description
We are looking for a Sales Assistant that has experience specifically in hotels. If you have IHG brand or Opera experience it is preferred. Schedule flexibility is a necessity. Has to be available to work holidays and weekends.

Physical Requirements:Normal office environment. Position requires sitting, stooping, bending and lifting of up to 20 lbs.
Working hours:Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day but may vary during special events and when full occupancy occurs. Schedule will be dictated by Sales Manager. Position may require evening and weekend hours.
Job Duties:
· Responsible for the inside sales effort and administrative duties associated with the daily operation of the sales office.
· Respond to incoming calls and inquiries, servicing them, or directing them to the appropriate sales person.
· Assist local accounts with direct bill reservations.
· Prepare weekly BEO's for designated departments.
· Prepare house accounts and billing for all incoming functions.
· Prepare daily reader board schedules.
· Maintain up to date filling system and trace system for all accounts.
· Conduct site tours.
· Assist Sales Manager as needed.
· Follow the CVB Leads and respond as necessary.
· Follow company policies in regard to all processes associated with banquet bookings, group bookings, contracts, and deposits.
· Maintain promotional information for Displays.
· Handle all group reservation inquiries, coordinating information with the Front Desk Manager and staff.
· Negotiate corporate and group rates for such accounts, process all related contracts and traces.
· Ensure standards are met regarding the sale of guest rooms and meeting space.
· Other duties as assigned or as business and demand dictates.
Qualifications and Skills needed:
· Position requires high school diploma or equivalent
· Sales and Catering experience preferred.
· Proficiency in Windows, MS Word, Excel and MS Outlook.
· 10-key by touch and typing of at least 40 wpm.
· Excellent written and communication skills.
