Tasks:• Make and maintain contact with existing and potential customers, particularly within Americas• Increase sales volume through direct sales efforts, such as setting up initial meeting/lunch & learn on new
customers, calling on key clients, preparing quotes and proposals and following up with customers• Establish professional customer relationships and initiate customer follow-up on a regular basis• Presentation preparation and execution to individuals or groups on company products• Provide weekly activity reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and meetings;
ensure sales activity is tracked properly and is up to date at all times• Keep management and sales team members informed of all relevant activity (participates in weekly project
meetings and takes ownership of the current inquiry and order status)• Become familiar with market needs, competition and trends through customer calls, industry contacts and
participation in industry organizations, trade shows and conferences• Promote the Company's products and pursue new sales opportunities within the High Pressure Flexibles industry• Review specifications, drawings, and other customer documents & prepare proposal and costs• Emphasize product features based on customer's needs and on technical knowledge of product• Liaise with Engineering and Production teams to provide solutions / recommendations for customers• Enter sales order information and ensure accuracy and completeness of information• Carry out negotiations with customers within the limits of agreed guideline. Lead negotiation of Supply/
Service and Price agreements with customers, and liaise with the company's Corporate Legal departments• Issue reports on sales activities, draw up plans/sales forecasts as required by the Company and by Group
Departments• Monitor market activities (customers/competitors/trends, etc.) and report as and when appropriate• Closely cooperate and liaise with the Inside Sales Dept. to ensure prompt and efficient response to
customers' requirements• Support Company activities to drive organic growth in line with ContiTech Group Strategy and
Management Principles• Ensure appropriate maintenance of all necessary customer and project files• Adhere to and carry out all Health & Safety and Environmental requirements as laid out in Company
Policies• Carry out any reasonable task as requested by the Sales Manager or a Senior Manager

Job Requirements

Personal requirements to be fulfilled by job holder:
Proactive sales engineer, confident team player, but able to work under own initiative, with good commercial awareness and good organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, reliability, good communicator, strong attention to detail, customer orientation, ability to travel and work flexible hours (dealing with international customers) as required

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (preferred), Marketing, Business, or related field / minimum 3+ years experience

Experience:
Sales and/or project management experience within the industry is preferred, including experience with the following:
o Direct dealing with customers in purchasing, engineering
o Involvement in cross-functional project teams
o Internal reporting/ forecasting
o Project management for high-value orders
o New business generation

Knowledge:• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills • Must be detail focused, self-motivated and team oriented • Must have superior time management and organizational skills• Must excel in identifying and making contact with potential clientele • Exceptional skills in developing and maintaining client relationships • Ability to explain products to prospective customers • Ability to create estimates and working through negotiations • Ability to organize sales calls and schedules with detailed reporting • ERP knowledge (SAP) and Sales Force is a plus
