Thomson Reuters is a leading provider of Global Trade Management (GTM) software and information solutions. Our GTM suite helps global companies automate regulatory compliance requirements arising from import and export trade activities, such as filing import/export declarations, counterparty screening, classifying goods, and complying with various trade incentive programs such as Foreign Trade Zones.

We currently have a need for a Sales Executive within our North American market. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about a career in sales. The selected candidate will be focused on new business development from current TR GTM clients working a named list. While working in a fast-paced / entrepreneurial environment, you will be challenged with proactively searching for leads and generating sales to help continue to develop this fast-growing business unit. This is a team-oriented group that promotes innovative thought and idea sharing.

Location: Remote based role, can be based in any major US city.

About the Role:

In this opportunity as a Sales Executive you will:

  • Prospect to senior trade compliance and supply chain executives and or CLO/GC, CFO's, CCO, SVP of Logistics and COO's
  • Directly responsible for finding and building opportunities within commercial accounts in a defined territory.
  • Utilize complex sales skills to execute and educate prospects/clients to logical decision to engage in partnership with TR and buy software and applicable services in said defined territory.
  • Manage sales cycle from identifying prospects, working with numerous internal teams to coordinate appropriate resources, all the way through closing the deal.
  • Manage relationships of customers post initial sale for upsell.
  • Execute utilization of OGTM sales methodology.
  • Maintain regular cadence with management and update all activities in our CRM (SFDC) tool.
  • Meet/exceed quarterly and annual quota targets.
  • Travel expectations - 25% to 35%

About You:

You're a fit for the role of Sales Executive if you have:

  • Four year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years' experience selling GTM, ERP, SCM, CRM, PTP or other major enterprise back office or mid-tier software solutions (Amber Road, MIC, SAP, Oracle, JDA, E2Open, I2).
  • Selling into large commercial entities with global operations, 500M in rev or >
  • Our business is critical on experience competing against Amber Road, SAP, MIC, Questa Web, JDA, Oracle and like companies in complex selling situations.
  • Command knowledge of the enterprise software industry and the various layers of it and their value impact to the P&L.
  • Record of sustained and significant quota achievement.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong experience with email, SFDC, MS excel, word, PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom, and other communication platforms, expense management and travel systems.

  • Compensation: Base salary and a variable compensation that is directly related to your success

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following (New York City, San Francisco, Culver City, Irvine). The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $180,000 - $200,000. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states (CA, CO, CT, NV, WA) and/or remote. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $180,000 - $200,000. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
