The Opportunity

DAT Software and Analytics is looking for a Marketing Analyst to join our outstanding Marketing Automation team.

Salesforce, as the world’s #1 CRM platform with cloud-based applications for sales, service and marketing channels represents the largest share of our Cloud Application business. We are looking for a motivated person who has experience with Salesforce CRM and knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

The Marketing Analyst is responsible for understanding business requirements and delivering high-quality output that empower the Marketing team to utilize the Salesforce CRM and the connection between Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud.

This position will support the Marketing Automation team with building custom reports and dashboards in Salesforce, managing Salesforce campaigns, and ensuring leads flow to Salesforce accurately. The person will also be responsible for creating ad hoc reports, working with our reporting teams and managing Salesforce technical requests with our Salesforce CRM technical team.

Candidate Profile

  • You have experience with Salesforce CRM, including building reports and dashboards, uploading leads, and managing campaigns.
  • You have experience working with Business Analysts in defining business requirements and have familiarity with JIRA and Agile processes
  • You’re comfortable being the internal subject matter expert, answering questions and training on the CRM system and process, and helping to build out business requirements to support system needs
  • Desire to be a team player in a fast paced environment
  • Eager to learn new skills and support the team as needed
  • Willing to take on ad hoc projects that require Marketing Automation team representation

What You’ll Do

  • Translate business and marketing challenges into well-designed
  • Collaborate with the internal Salesforce development team to determine the best path for Salesforce platform
  • Review Salesforce release notes to share internally and determine potential impacts
  • Understand the ins and outs of marketing in order to easily understand business needs and translate those into business requirements
  • Enjoy teaching and coaching the business team on how to best use Salesforce
  • Work cross functionally with teams such as Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Revenue Operations, Lead Qualification, Sales, Engineering, Customer Support, and other teams as needed
  • Maintain and document technical processes and marketing automation procedures and provide seamless hand-off to business users

Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

  • Understanding of Agile practices and associated tools (Jira/Azure DevOps or similar)
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM/Sales Cloud including lead upload, campaign member upload, building campaigns and hierarchies, creating reports and creating dashboards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with non-technical personnel
  • Familiarity with email and/or marketing automation software and integration with databases
  • The ability to turn data into business insights
  • The ability to quickly learn other SaaS tools used by the Marketing Automation team
  • Understanding of project management tools
  • Experience with Smartsheet is preferred
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) aka ExactTarget is preferred
