SAP Associate Project Manager

As an Associate SAP Project Manager, the candidate will have the opportunity to learn on the job working on implementations in support of the client and Navisite Project Management Office (PMO). This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to build their careers as an SAP Project Manager with Navisite!

Location: This position will be remote with travel. Candidate may work where they live anywhere in the United States, but candidates located in Eastern or Central timezones are highly preferred.

Travel Requirements: Candidate will be required to travel to client sites 50-75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Support the management of moderate to complex projects.
• Develop project strategy, definition of success, approach and execution plans.
• Develop phased resource plans, task plans, status reports, issue resolution process, project budget, milestones, and specific deliverables for each project phase.
• Define, measure, and deliver tangible benefits.
• On many projects, the Project Manager will oversee change management activities including project communications, organizational impact issues, training and more.
• Motivate project team members.
• Participates in sales cycle activities including scoping, building and delivering software demonstrations, estimating work effort, and constructing content for proposal and SOWs.
• In-depth SAP Solutions and process knowledge including industry best practices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Facilitate blueprint and other types of workshops.
• Drive complex technical and organizational issues to resolution.
• Translate requirements into solutions, using SAP best practice, industry solutions or Navisite Solutions as a baseline.
• Explores new SAP applications as a leader and be able to articulate the business value to customers and Navisite employees.
• Role will be primarily customer-facing (billable) in which the consultant is expected to perform their duties in direct support of ongoing Navisite projects and support clients.
• Has an annually established billable target.
• Supports clients on optimization projects and as a solution architect to evaluate the effectiveness of design on projects.
• Drives or supports the implementation of knowledge management/retention processes, tools and templates.
• Sustains adequate technical product knowledge through formal training, webinars, SAP publications, collaboration among colleagues and self-study.
• Collaborate and mentor others on product capabilities and technology trends.
• Enforce the core competencies and professional standards of Navisite in all client engagements.
• Build and deliver marketing collateral (e.g. campaigns, webinars etc.) as assigned.
• Support internal projects as assigned.

Skills and Competencies

• University Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Professional Project Management Certification (preferred)
• Experience within at least 1 full lifecycle SAP implementation 
• Full lifecycle SAP S/4 Greenfield or Brownfield implementation experience (preferred)
• 2+ years’ experience in a functional/ configuration/business process role on a project
• 2+ years SAP Project Management and/or Functional Team Lead experience (preferred)
• Previous PM or Team Leader experience; can manage and motivate individuals and teams
• Ability to analyze and drive the resolution of cross-functional issues
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated with ability to function independently with minimal direction
• Ability to translate business requirements into system solutions
• Achieves and exceeds goals through self-motivation, attention to detail and aversion to complacency
