SAP HANA Database Administrator

cBEYONData is seeking an SAP HANA Database Administrator with a strong background in SAP HANA administration. The ideal candidate should also possess experience in supporting SAP BW (Business Warehouse) and SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) applications. As a Senior SAP HANA BASIS DBA, you will lead the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our SAP HANA landscape, ensuring its performance, security, and availability to support our organization's critical business operations. This is a full-time position on a multi-year contract that will allow for 100% remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, installation, configuration, and upgrade of SAP HANA database systems across various environments, including development, testing, and production, while seamlessly integrating with SAP BASIS activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for SAP HANA databases, aligning BASIS and database requirements.
• Monitor and ensure the health, performance, and security of SAP HANA databases by diagnosing and resolving technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity problems, while optimizing BASIS configurations.
• Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity and availability, including routine backups, restoration tests, and disaster recovery drills, while coordinating with BASIS for system recoveries.
• Maintain and enhance database security by implementing access controls, encryption, and compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies, in alignment with SAP BASIS security practices.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as system updates, patches, and performance tuning, to optimize the performance of SAP HANA databases and ensure seamless SAP BASIS operations.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including installation procedures, configuration guides, and operational runbooks, while incorporating BASIS-specific guidelines.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts during critical incidents, providing timely resolutions and root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences, collaborating closely with SAP BASIS teams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior SAP HANA BASIS DBAs and other team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
• Collaborate with SAP functional and BASIS teams to ensure seamless integration of database systems with SAP applications and services, aligning all aspects of SAP landscape management.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in SAP landscape design, system configuration, and integration with SAP applications.
• Strong familiarity with SAP user and role management, transport management, and client administration.
• Solid expertise in SAP performance tuning, system monitoring, and proactive maintenance activities.
• Strong understanding of SAP security concepts, including user provisioning, authorization concepts, and SAP security notes application
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with SAP BusinessObjects or any other BI tool like Tableau, PowerBI, or MicroStrategy is a plus.
• Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain Public Trust.
