Your role and responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities of an SAP MDG Architect:
- Solution Design and Architecture:
- Define and create the data models including entity types attributes and relationships for master data domains.
- Ensure integration of MDG with other SAP modules (e.g. SAP ECC SAP S/4HANA) and non-SAP systems for a seamless flow of master data.
- Business Process Analysis:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements for data governance data quality and data management.
- Analyze current master data processes identify gaps and propose improvements through SAP MDG solutions.
- Governance and Compliance:
- Establish master data governance processes and workflows ensuring that they adhere to industry standards and compliance regulations.
- Define rules for data validation approval workflows and escalation processes to ensure that master data is maintained consistently.
- Technical Configuration:
- Configure SAP MDG components including data models UI customization and workflows to meet specific organizational requirements.
- Set up data replication frameworks to distribute master data across multiple systems in the landscape ensuring data consistency.
- Handle the configuration of data quality validation and derivation rules within the MDG framework.
- Data Migration and Integration:
- Plan and oversee the migration of legacy master data into the SAP MDG solution ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Design interfaces and integration points to ensure seamless data exchange between SAP MDG and other systems such as SAP ERP S/4HANA and third-party applications.
- Performance Tuning and Optimization:
