Job Overview
TE Connectivity's ERP Systems Teams conduct analysis, design, evaluation, modification, testing and implementation of enterprise wide systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Baan, PeopleSoft) across functional areas. They perform analysis of systems specifications and use the latest analytical/diagramming tools to represent business/technical processes. TE's ERP Systems Teams also develop conversion and system implementation plans, prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation, recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards, coordinate system upgrade activity and train user personnel in the conversion and implementation of the system.

Job Overview

TE's ERP Systems Teams also develop conversion and system implementation plans, prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation, recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards, coordinate system upgrade activity and train user personnel in the conversion and implementation of the system.
Responsibilities:
1.- Determine Business Requirements:
- Meet with users, management, and other Core Team Analysts to define business requirements in sufficient detail to determine the appropriate SAP configuration or development required
- Document the requirements in a functional requirements document
- Perform Fit/gap analysis and influence users to change business processes to fit existing system functionality.
2.- Design SAP-based Business Systems:
- Independently evaluate alternative solutions to business requirements and document a recommended design.
- Recommend ABAP or other programming enhancements when no SAP solution is possible.
3.- Configure the SAP System:
- Translate business requirements into SAP configuration with help from other team members.
- Configure SAP price procedures, condition types, pricing requirements and formulas.
- Document the SAP configuration required if complex or unique.
4.- Prepare Development Specifications:
- Document the required functionality, input and output for ABAP/SAP Script/Smart forms programs, and the technical requirements of interfaces to other systems.
- Provide oversight to ABAP developers to ensure requirements are understood and that a well-designed, efficient, and supportable solution is developed.
- Provide and use unit test scenarios and test data
5.- Test the SAP System, Enhancements and Add-ons:
- Provide integrated test scenarios across all related processes reflecting the business requirements.
- Test the system, documenting the results
6.- Investigate and resolve test problems, coordinating the activities of others as required Support Data Mapping from Legacy Systems:
- Develop and maintain mapping documents that define requirements for legacy system data to be loaded into SAP.
- Communicate and explain mapping documents to local IS organizations creating extracts.
- Verify extracted data is correctly loaded into SAP consistent with the intended mapping.
7.- Develop SAP Batch Jobs and Variants:
- Define batch processing requirements and interface requirements.
- Create the necessary SAP jobs and variants.
- Ensure Unix files and directories are used efficiently and securely.
8.- Provide End User Training:
- Create and modify training material with the assistance of the Training Team.
- Deliver training to a project's local implementation team and to others as required.
- Ensure training material remains up to date as the SAP System changes.
What your background should look like:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems OR any other university degree plus three years' work experience within an IS organization.
- 3 to 5 years work experience within an IS organization.
- Understand IT related processes in global environments and can hold process related discussions with different business and technical SMEs
- Minimum 3 years' experience in SAP ECC/S/4 Sales and Distribution - Pricing
- SAP Certification is a plus
- English as a first or second language, sufficient for telephone consulting, email, training, and documentation in English.
- VOFM routines
- ABAP skills (Reading Code/Debugging)

- Must understand deliverables related to a project lifecycle
- Must be able to adapt to, and follow the TEIS project methodology
- Must be able to learn quickly and apply resulting knowledge in a practical manner
- Must be technical savvy in IT principles and skills
- Strong communication and reporting skills - both verbal and written
- Must be able to create and/or review Functional and Technical Design Specifications
- Must be able to prepare and execute on plan to deliver the defined solutions
- Must be able to create and execute cut-over to production support plans
