The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience with various cutting tools and techniques. As a Saw Operator, you will be responsible for operating saws to cut materials to specified dimensions, ensuring precision and quality in every cut. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties • Operate saws and other cutting equipment to cut materials according to specifications. • Assemble components as required, ensuring proper alignment and fit. • Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles for accurate measurements. • Perform plasma cutting tasks as needed for specific projects. • Weld components together when necessary, following safety guidelines. • Operate forklifts to transport materials around the facility safely. • Fabricate parts based on engineering drawings and specifications. • Use micrometers and calipers for precise measurements of materials. • Maintain tooling and equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance as required. • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while ensuring quality standards are met. Experience The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: • Proven experience as a Saw Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. • Familiarity with various cutting techniques and tools, including saws, plasma cutters, and welding equipment. • Proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. • Experience with tooling maintenance and setup is preferred. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. • A commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
