Duties include, but are not limited to: ● Operating in the fabrication department under the direction of the Foreman and Lead Carpenters ● Working on projects as outlined by the Foreman and adhering to the department's production schedule ● Working from drawings to verify dimensions and build with attention to detail and quality ● Maintaining best practices and sound fabrication techniques ● Working with a team to consistently achieve the same standard of quality ● Effectively communicating, both orally and in writing, and remaining professional at all times ● Ensuring proper safety practices are followed, personal protective equipment is worn at all times, and that a safe and efficient workspace is maintained The ideal candidate will have: ● 5+ years’ experience in finish carpentry - additional 2+ years’ experience in scenic (or related) carpentry preferred ● Extensive knowledge of stationary and hand-held power tools including table saw, routers and typical rotary blade/bit tools ● Possession of basic hand tools and reliable transportation to job sites ● Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary to deliver the project on time ● Willingness to travel on projects for out of town installs ● Ability to use ladders and carry at least 80 pounds ● Knowledge of building materials pertinent to industry standards focused on sheet goods made of wood, laminate, and plastics ● Must be willing to travel out of town or out of state for installations on project sites. ● Must have reliable transportation. Job Type: Contract Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour Work Location: In person
