Now Hiring: Freelance Event & Production Crew – Philadelphia, PA Pay based on role & experience Start: Summer 2025 | Freelance, Project-Based Work LOCAL WORK / LOCAL JOB not a tour, no travel, no per diem, no housing Who We Are Odeum Labor Services is a national provider of skilled labor for live events, theater, immersive experiences, and experiential builds. We were founded through the merger of Mind the Gap Labor Services and TINC Productions, combining over 30 years of expertise in the field. This summer, we’re expanding into the Philadelphia market, bringing our crew-first values to a wide range of projects — including live events, marketing activations, TV shoots, theater, concerts, and more. We install scenic and technical elements like staging, lighting, sound, temporary structures, event furniture, and branded environments. At Odeum, we believe every project succeeds when crews are respected, fairly paid, and properly supported. Our in-house project managers handle logistics and communication — so our freelance professionals can focus on what they do best: delivering exceptional work on-site. We don’t just fill shifts. We build crews. Responsibilities: • Build and install scenic elements and staging per plans • Operate power tools and handle various materials (wood, steel, foam, etc.) • Read drawings and follow directions from crew leads • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work area • Adjust and troubleshoot on-site as needed Detailed Skill Sets: • Onsite fabrication • Cabinet building • Molding layout and setup • Miter cutting in crown molding and general • Familiarity with veneer finished products and hardwood products • Understanding of cabinet drawers and doors • Locking and hinge placement and mounting on cabinets and doors • Working on finished pieces without ruining the finish • Problem-solving when built pieces don't fit upon arrival • Ability to work safely and use PPE • Deciding what hardware is needed to complete a project and verbalizing it • Preparing wood items for high-end paint finishes, including filling, sanding, and construction or repair • Estimating raw material needs to build a piece • Reading drawings and schematics • Repairing laminate or veneer chips or scratches What You’ll Need • Prior experience in live events, scenic installs, or production labor • Transportation to and from job sites in the Philadelphia area • Professional attitude and reliability • OSHA or equipment certs are a plus (not required) Why Work With Odeum?
