Our PPD® Laboratory Services team has a direct impact on improving patient health through the expertise of scientists, industry thought-leaders and therapeutic experts. Essential Functions:

  • Develops, troubleshoots and conducts chromatography based experiments in support of drug product process development
  • Performs HPLC and CE release and stability testing on drug products
  • Maintains accurate records of experiments and results in an electronic laboratory notebook and authors reports as assigned in compliance with applicable SOPs and guidelines
  • Designs, executes, and interprets experiments with a high degree of reliability and independence
  • Performs basic statistical analysis of experimental data, where appropriate
  • Maintains general lab equipment, including CE and HPLC systems.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of scientific principles and basic understanding of applicable drug development regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or Scientific Field, or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
  • Previous industry experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job:
  • Scientist: With a bachelor's degree comparable to 2+ years

In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years of GMP QC testing experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • A basic knowledge of cGMPs (desired but not required)
  • HPLC or CE Testing experience **Required**
  • Experience with biorelevant dissolution testing
  • The ability to work successfully in both a team/matrix environment as well as independently
  • The ability to work in a fast pace environment, manage priorities, and maintain timelines for multiple projects
  • Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented
