We are seeking a Ph.d Scientist/Associate Scientist, Technology Development, with a passion for innovation to join our technology development team to work on our novel protein detection platform. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, on multiple projects, and will be a part of a rapidly growing company to make a difference in life science research and early disease diagnosis.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Apply laboratory skills and experience to generate high-quality data in developing new technologies and in developing new biomarker assays.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including reagents, methodology, and results. Perform data analysis and report results.
- Examine the impacts of multiple variables on assay performance and perform troubleshooting as needed.
- Support in-house engineers to integrate and adapt different assay workflows onto Alamar’s proprietary instrument platform.
Requirements include:
- BS/MS in Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field; or combination of relevant experience. Ph.D. highly desired for this role.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience running ELISA, qPCR, or similar, as well as experience in generating, analyzing, and reviewing data from those assays required.
- A demonstrated ability to follow SOPs and document results is critical.
- Strong organizational skills are required.
- Experience in automation or in using automated liquid handlers is a plus.
- Experience in IVD product development with ELISA immunoassay and/or NGS is a plus.
- Self-motivation with a positive “can do” attitude, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex projects are critical.
- Data management skills are highly beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to work within a multidisciplinary team environment required.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 - $115,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
