Overview:
You will:- Provide support and escalation for LivePerson SOC Analysts, Security Engineer I, Security Engineer II, and any third-party security providers.
- Identify and define system security requirements that align with industry and compliance standards.
- Work with teams to resolve security issues in cloud systems and processes.
- Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
- Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
- Develop technical solutions to help reduce security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
- Be responsible for all areas involving IT and operations infrastructure to ensure performance and data confidentiality, integrity and availability.
- Document, monitor and report on multiple security related systems to ensure system and data integrity, security and availability.
- Evaluate and choose the right tools together with the team(s) to best suit our needs.
- Test, maintain and challenge the chosen solutions to comply with securities best practices.
- Work with the IT and System teams on hardening and configuration management on cloud and infrastructure tools to align with security and regulatory best practices.
- Perform analysis of transactional data, log files and other system outputs to identify malicious or anomalous activity.
- Build and implement tools to automate security monitoring and tasks.
- Lead the review of security sensitive aspects of applications and systems.
- Be the region supervisor for all SecOps and SOC staff. Perform in the region hiring and training of staff, setting work schedules and establishing department procedures to ensure that support is available for all activities and that adequate experienced and enabled resources are present to ensure efficient operations. You will be responsible for all the regional operations of SecOps and SOC.
- Evaluate and verify region related staff performances through performance evaluation techniques.
- Identify and ensure staff development programs.
- Analyze local company technology needs, develop systems and security applications, implement hardware and software, conduct tests and maintain ongoing operations of all systems.
- Work with performance management team to set up necessary alerting and reporting on capacity utilization of different security components.
- Provide cross-trainings to other teams or other team members as and when needed.
- You will report to the Global SecOps Manager based in the US.
You are an expert in:
- System security engineering or information security engineering industry practices.
- Build and secure both internal and external systems.
- Operating system security for all platforms.
- Network security, networking technologies, and network monitoring tools.
- SecDevOps and shift left concepts and methodologies.
- Automation and integrations between multiple threat intelligence and applicable security stack.
- Automations in SOC investigations, metrics and Goal achievements.
- 5+ years of experience with SIEM, SOC, Incident Response management, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures for infrastructure and application support.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Networking, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Operating Systems (Linux, Mac and Windows), Security Tools.
- 5+ years of experience establishing procedures, reports, Service level agreements and escalations.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with multi-cloud service environments.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience responding to security incidents and log analysis.
- 3+ years of experience with regulatory compliance standards like GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI.
- Work under high pressure environments.
- 3+ years experience working in or with US companies and management culture.
- 5+ years working directly with Compliance and Audit as the primary contact for technical evidence creation and presentation to external audit or compliance regulators.
- An understanding of the requirements of operating and excelling in a GDPR compliant environment.
- Be motivated,a team player for the role of in the region Lead SecOps engineer to expand our security capabilities within its global security operations organization.
- 5+ years experience working on Security projects
- Knowledge of networking like routing, switching, TCP/IP, SSL, TLS, DNS, DHCP, NACLs.
- Experience with software development skills on programming languages like Java, C#.
- Scripting skills (e.g., python, shell script, power BI).
- Experience working with operations/dev teams and DevOps practices.
- Background in Linux and *nix operating systems.
- Foundational understanding in application security, crypto, PCI, network security, security in serverless environments and micro services-based architecture.
- Familiarity with security assessment tools like Burp suite, Metasploit and Wireshark.
- Understanding of concepts with Web Application Firewalls and DLP.
Other Requirements:
- Support during US hours.
- On-call duty.
- Commitment to team collaboration and mentoring.
- Command of the English language (written and spoken).
- Familiar with the security best practices in IaaS/PaaS services such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
- Commitment to documentation and tracking results through enterprise ticketing/collaboration platforms.
