Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for protecting our organization's IT infrastructure and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role involves conducting security analysis, managing vulnerabilities, and responding to incidents to safeguard our systems and data.
Duties
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability management to identify potential risks within the IT infrastructure.
• Implement and monitor security measures in accordance with NIST standards, ISO 27000, and other relevant frameworks.
• Manage identity and access management systems, ensuring proper authentication and authorization protocols are in place.
• Utilize tools such as SIEM, IDS, and firewalls to monitor network traffic and detect threats.
• Perform incident response activities, including investigation, recovery, and reporting of security breaches.
• Collaborate with network engineering teams to secure LAN/WAN environments, including Cisco ASA configurations and IPsec implementations.
• Develop system security plans that align with organizational goals while adhering to compliance requirements such as PCI and FedRAMP.
• Engage in threat detection and response initiatives, utilizing threat intelligence to enhance security posture.
• Maintain documentation related to system hardening, incident management, and vulnerability assessments.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and network protocols.
• Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls (Cisco ASA), VPNs, encryption methods (SSL), and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with operating systems including Windows, Linux (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu), macOS, and UNIX variants.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation tasks is a plus.
• Knowledge of system administration practices across various environments (VMware, Citrix).
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles including incident recovery strategies, disaster recovery planning, and high availability solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an Agile framework while managing multiple priorities effectively. Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
