Position Overview
The Security Analyst will monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents across internal and client systems. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and help maintain a strong security posture. The Security Analyst will also assist with compliance initiatives and client security projects, ensuring that 10Zing IT Solutions remains a trusted partner in cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities
• Monitor internal and client systems, networks, and applications for potential security threats.
• Investigate, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in a timely manner.
• Perform vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and penetration testing support.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize security tools such as firewalls, SIEMs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Assist with client security projects, providing technical expertise and recommendations.
• Support development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Educate and advise internal staff and clients on cybersecurity best practices.
• Research emerging threats, trends, and solutions to strengthen defenses.
• Generate incident reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation for management and clients.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in IT security, incident response, or systems/network administration (MSP or consulting environment experience preferred).
Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Proficiency with SIEM, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability management tools.
• Strong understanding of network security, operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI DSS, GDPR, or similar).
• Ability to analyze logs, detect anomalies, and resolve security issues effectively.
Certifications (preferred, not required):
• CompTIA Security+, CySA+
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
• CISSP (a plus)
