Security Guard

Groundworks is seeking a talentedSecurity Guardto join our tribe inIrving, TX! The Security Guard is responsible for protecting Groundworks premises, assets, staff and visitors by maintaining a safe and secure environment while also performing general building maintenance tasks. This includes monitoring, patrolling, and enforcing safety protocols to ensure Groundworks safety and the wellbeing of staff. Job Responsibilities • Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property and inspecting the building, equipment, and access points. • Prevent loss and damages by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policies and procedures, and restraining trespassers when necessary. • Assist with general upkeep of the building and grounds as needed. • Monitor and report maintenance concerns or irregularities to appropriate personnel. • Support basic facility operations, including opening and closing procedures. • Respond to facility-related issues or emergencies in a timely and appropriate manner. • Maintain environmental controls by monitoring and setting building control systems. • Ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements. • Write detailed reports on daily activities and irregularities. • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed. • Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED highly preferred • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or facilities management is highly desired • Experience with security systems is a plus. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to write detailed incident reports. • Strong communication skills and ability to multitask. Physical Requirements • Standing, walking, moving, climbing, bending, keeling, reaching, handling, pushing and pulling, and lifting up to moderate weights. Must be able to remain on foot for extended periods of time and react quickly in emergency situations. Work Environment • The Security Guard will be in an on-site environment with minimal travel. This role is in person.
