Security Guard

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents effectively. A background in law enforcement, military service, or security is preferred. Responsibilities • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises. • Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. • Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site. • Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to monitor activities and gather evidence when necessary. • Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property. • Provide first aid and CPR assistance when required, ensuring immediate care for any injured individuals. • Manage conflicts effectively by employing conflict resolution techniques to de-escalate tense situations. • Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts for record-keeping purposes. Requirements • Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is highly desirable. • Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and monitoring equipment is essential. • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. • Excellent observational skills with attention to detail in identifying potential security threats. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments. • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff, clients, and the public.
