Security Guard

Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. We are looking for a retail Security Guard. Hours will be during business hours (11am-7pm) inside a retail shop. Black suite attire is required. NY State Watch Guard License is a MUST!! The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires keen observation skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a strong commitment to upholding safety protocols. Duties • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security. • Guards should arrive 15 minutes before opening, and stay 15 minutes after close. • Guards should stand at the front door, • Conduct regular inspections of premises, including entrances, exits, and restricted areas. • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents. • Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in detailed reports. • Enforce facility rules and regulations while managing conflicts effectively. • Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or security breaches. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification is preferred. • Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is advantageous. • Familiarity with surveillance equipment and techniques. • Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus. • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. • Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required.
