United Security Services Inc. is looking for experiencedSecurity OfficersandSecurity Supervisorsto work the upcomingPrinters Row Street Festival in Chicago, from Thursday, September 4thto Sunday, September 7th.Please be aware that this is for a four-day event only, and any not comfortable or available with such need not apply.Please note that this position has a heavy emphasis on mobility, therefore we ask that applicants be comfortable with extensive walking, staying active, and working outdoors.

SECURITY OFFICERS
Job Description:
United Security Services Inc. is seeking experienced Security Officers to join our team in the Chicagoland area for Morning, Afternoon, and Overnight Shifts. This role requires mobility, as you will be on your feet for extended periods, conducting both indoor and outdoor patrols. Responsibilities include maintaining a welcoming environment for guests, monitoring for suspicious activities, conducting security checks, and reporting incidents. Ideal candidates will have a professional appearance, excellent communication skills, and at least 2-3 years of verifiable security experience, along with a valid PERC card and 20-hour training certificate. Hotel security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide a welcoming environment and provide needed services for guests
• Patrol guest areas for suspicious activities and unauthorized people
• Comfort with staying mobile and on your feet and patrolling both indoors and outdoors
• Communicate effectively with guests while maintaining excellent hospitality and interpersonal skills
• Perform a variety of security checks and follow post orders as directed by the hotel
• Investigate incidents and create reports by recording observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities
• Have a professional appearance and demeanor

SECURITY SUPERVISOR
In addition to Security Officers for this upcoming event, we are also seeking individuals with supervisory experience in security setting. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory and security experience, ensuring that protocols are followed while maintaining a positive and welcoming environment for both guests and staff. Responsibilities include coordinating security staff, conducting risk assessments, and addressing incidents as they arise. Professional appearance, effective communication skills, and the ability to remain alert in all situations are essential for this role.
Please note thatthis is a supervisory-level position. We are looking for team-oriented individuals who can contribute to a positive work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
• Coordinating other guards and maintaining protocols to ensure property safety
• Conducting regular risk assessments
• Provide a welcoming environment and provide needed services for guests
• Patrol guest areas for suspicious activities and unauthorized people
• Communicate effectively with guests while maintaining excellent hospitality and interpersonal skills
• Investigate incidents and create reports by recording observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities
• Have a professional appearance and demeanor
• Other responsibilities may apply
Must-Have Requirements:
• Must have a valid PERC card and 20 Hour Training Certificate.
• Must be over 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 2 -3 years of VERIFIABLE security experience.
• Must be willing to submit to a background check.
• A well-groomed and professional appearance that aligns with the hotel's high standards.
• No visible facial piercings or unconventional hair colors that may not align with the luxury hotel's image.
• Punctuality and reliability, with the ability to arrive on time and prepared for every shift.
• Flexibility to work extended hours or additional shifts as needed.
• Ability to work both inside and outside, conducting mobile patrols of the property in all weather conditions.
• A proactive attitude, with the ability to stay active and alert throughout your shift.
• Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with guests and staff professionally.
• CPR and First Aid Certification a plus.

If planning on attending, all attendees must be dressed in business attire, hair combed and neat. No visible face or neck tattoos, colored hair, or face piercings.
Please bring with you:
• An up-to-date Resume (Physical Copy)
• Two forms of ID, preferably a valid Driver's License or State ID, and a Social Security Card or Birth Certificate. A valid passport is permitted as well. (Physical copies as well)
• A valid PERC Card. (We are aware physical copies are no longer available to some, so an electronic copy is permitted)
Failure to meet any of these requirements upon showing up will result in immediate dismissal from the event, no exceptions.
