Security Sergeant - Night Shift

Employment Type:Full time Shift:Night Shift Description:Supports delivery of security, safety and parking services on campus by supervising the day to day operations of a designated shift of Security & Safety Officers in the field. : • Promotes the security goals of crime and loss prevention through interactions with other departments, and the supervision and activities of staff. • Promotes the Magis goals of customer service (care, concern, respect, cooperation) through interactions with other departments and supervision of staff. • Handles the day to day Human Resource responsibilities of shift. • Provides and participates in training of officers and other employees. • Develops staffing schedules. • Assists the Safety Department in the accomplishment of safety goals and the enforcement of safety rules and regulations. • Assists the Parking Department in the accomplishment of parking goals through enforcement of rules and regulations, motorist assist services and traffic control. Position Requirements: Minimum Education: Required:Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Preferred:Bachelors Degree Specify Degree(s):Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement/Security Administration/Fire Service Minimum Experience: Required:3-5 years of previous job-related experience Licensure/Certifications: Required: General - Valid Illinois drivers license Preferred: Basic Life Support (CPR) Other:IAHSS Basic, Advanced, Supervisory Certification Preferred Compensation: Pay Range: $23.18 - $35.92 per hour Actual compensation will fall within the rangebutmay vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
