Security Service Technician III (un)

What you will do:

A Johnson Controls Security Service Technician is a troubleshooting and service expert. This position is dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction by alleviating concerns regarding security systems. You will advise customers and the customer care center on the status of systems and processes, perform inspections, and repair or replace burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, and Card Access systems. You will be equipped with all necessary tools and equipment to work independently.

How you will do it:

• Locate and resolve issues with damaged equipment or wiring.

• Service, install, troubleshoot, and repair Tyco Integrated Fire & Security products.

Collaborate with customers' IT personnel on network-related tasks.

What we look for:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Electronic Technician Certificate.

• Courses in Computer Networking and proficiency.

• Commitment to ongoing education and skills upgrading.

Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in security installation and/or service, or equivalent.

• Familiarity with ULC standards is an asset.

Skills:

• Proficient in computer and networking skills, with knowledge of computer operating systems.

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.

• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and capacity to work under pressure.

• Able to meet deadlines and adapt to new ideas and procedures.

Other:

• Valid driver's license.

• Must be bondable, with a criminal record check required.

• Company vehicle provided for business use, including gas and maintenance. Driver's abstract required.

• Flexibility in working hours is necessary.
