Job Description
Summary
This position is located in the Driver Training Unit, Functional Training Operations Division (DTU), Foreign Affairs Security Training Center, Directorate of Training. You will serve as a subject matter expert in security/counterterrorism driving techniques, armored vehicle dynamics, and other related areas.
Duties
- Reviews established training objectives, lesson plans, training materials, and instructional methods prior to the beginning of assigned courses.
- In coordination with the supervisor, provides technical guidance, recommendations, and instruction for conducting the driver training programs overseas.
- Serves as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for Personal Services Contractors (PSCs) assigned to the DTU and as Government Technical Monitor (GTM) for DTU Third Party Contractors (TPCs).
- The incumbent participates in the planning, design and development of new security training courses as a Subject Matter Expert in the driver training area.

Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
-Experience planning, organizing, implementing, and managing the presentation of Armored Vehicle Driver Training courses.
-Experience developing and writing contract work statements.
-Experience developing written security policies and training procedures.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.

- Knowledge of acquisition management policies and procedures.
