SGT. / Security Supervisor This position REQUIRES possession of a CA state issued Guard Card and at least 4 years of supervisory experience of 50+ individuals.Applicants that do not meet the indicated experience will not be considered! Position Overview:The Sergeant / Security Supervisor is a frontline leadership role responsible for overseeing security operations at assigned sites. The Sergeant acts as a team leader, ensuring security personnel perform their duties effectively, maintaining safety, enforcing policies, and providing excellent customer service. This position involves direct supervision, operational coordination, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Assisting in scheduling, personnel records, and staffing plans. Support administrative tasks such as payroll documentation and supply management. Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and personnel. Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding security operations. Provide regular updates, site reports, and incident summaries. Duties and Responsibilities β€’ Full-time supervisor position β€’ Assists with client relations and account management β€’ Development and training of security personnel β€’ Timely and effective response, handling, and reporting of incidents β€’ Conducts interviews, processes hiring documents and completes pre-employment requirements β€’ Complete employee performance management forms, including, disciplinary actions, commendations and evaluations as needed β€’ Develop and update Post Orders and other administrative tasks β€’ Frequent site checks and employee inspections to ensure employees understand company protocols β€’ Maintain and update schedules and conduct reviews of staffing levels β€’ Schedule and coordinate trainings and special events β€’ Train new hires at all sites β€’ Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications β€’ Prior Law Enforcement or Military experience preferred. At least 4 years of supervisory experience. β€’ Must complete and maintain state Guard Certification as prescribed by presiding state law β€’ Requires thorough knowledge of industry standard operating procedures and life-safety β€’ Knowledgeable and proficient in general security industry standards and methods β€’ Experience with tour tracking programs is preferred but not required β€’ Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills β€’ Must possess advanced skills and professional experience in the areas of people and conflict management with tact and discretion β€’ Must be flexible and possess the ability to function in stressful situations β€’ Excellent time-management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, facilitation, and organizational skills required β€’ Strong supervisory and administrative skills β€’ Must possess the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management β€’ A dependable team player with business maturity, enthusiasm and a positive attitude β€’ Proficient in computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Education and Certification Requirements β€’ Possession of a college degree preferred but not required β€’ Possession of state Guard Card certification β€’ Possession of or ability to obtain Exposed Firearm Permit within 6 months of employment β€’ Possession of a valid Driver’s License β€’ Possession of a firearm, Taser, baton, OC, handcuff, and CPR preferred Physical Functions and Working Environment β€’ Frequent climbing stairs, ramps, and occasionally ladders β€’ Frequent sitting, bending, twisting, and kneeling β€’ Continuous physical effort that requires prolonged periods of walking, standing β€’ Occasional running, as needed β€’ Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds β€’ Frequent reaching, grasping, and keyboarding Other β€’ Must have open availability to work any days and shifts as needed β€’ Must be at least 21 years of age and able to provide documentation showing authorization to work in the U.S. β€’ Employment is conditioned on successful completion of a drug screening and background check β€’ If prior military, must provide DD214 discharge document with discharge status upon job offer Job Type: Full-time Condor Security of America Inc. provided the following inclusive hiring information: We are an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.
