POSITION SUMMARY
TheSelling Plumbing Technicianrole at Malek Service Company is a professional service role with high earning potential, built for skilled plumbing technicians who enjoy helping customers make informed decisions. OBJECTIVES
• Conduct thorough plumbing system evaluations to identify issues and present trusted, professional recommendations
• Deliver expert plumbing service, repairs, and system replacements directly in the field
• Diagnose plumbing issues through hands-on inspection and technical skill
• Communicate findings clearly and professionally to homeowners in plain language
• Present solution-based options and guide the customer to the best fit for their needs
• Execute approved work with precision, care, and attention to detail
• Educate customers on long-term system health, safety, and efficiency improvements
• Build trust and drive revenue by combining craftsmanship with consultative selling
• Accurately document diagnostics, completed work, and recommendations in our CRM
COMPETENCIES
• Strong plumbing diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-first approach
• Professional presence with the ability to guide and educate homeowners
• Comfortable presenting solutions and assisting customers in decision-making

• Familiarity with CRM platforms and digital documentation tools
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Active Texas Plumbing License required
• 4,000–8,000 hours under a Responsible Master Plumber (RMP) required
• OSHA certified and Tankless Water Heater certified preferred
• Active driver’s license, physical and clean background record required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Standing, bending, climbing, sitting, working in crawl spaces and heights
• Ability to spend prolonged periods standing, sitting, or walking
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• Must wear required safety gear and protective clothing
• Exposure to varying noise levels and weather conditions
• Ability to maneuver tools and materials in various environments
• Work in tight spaces and elevated areas
• Tolerate indoor and outdoor temperatures year-round
• Reasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential tasks
SCHEDULE
• Normal hours Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
• After-hours service call rotation required
