Senior Accountant - 25% domestic travel

Role is fully remote 3 weeks per month and there is company paid travel 1 week per month to Colorado corporate HQ. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic corporate accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate accounting and financial management, with expertise in various accounting software and principles. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards, as well as providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Duties • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including journal entries and account reconciliations. • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the general ledger accounting system. • Answer audit requests from external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and explanations. • Utilize various accounting software such as ERP and MS Excel for GL, financial reporting and analysis. • Participate in evaluation and implementation of API solutions. Skills • Proficient in corporate accounting principles and practices, including double entry GL accounting. • Strong knowledge of financial concepts such as accrual accounting, cash flow analysis, and financial management. • Excellent analytical skills for account analysis, auditing, and financial statement preparation. • Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation efficiently. • Proficient in using financial software tools for effective reporting and data management. • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
