Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, preferably in mortgage loan, real estate, banking or another financial services industry. This role requires a deep understanding of financial concepts, technical accounting, and the ability to perform general ledger reconciliation. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and commission calculations, and will focus on reconciliations and assist with monthly financials and reporting.
Responsibilities
• Input accurate commission data per compensation agreements to the Loan Vision commission module
• Calculate and confirm system calculations of complex commissions
• Prepare commission upload worksheet for payroll
• Draft and manage compensation agreements for Mortgage Bankers, Production Partners, Loan Processors and other employees as applicable
• Review all new and existing agreements and leases
• Prepare and post Excel spreadsheets that allocate vendor invoices at the branch, loan or employee level
• Process employee expense reports
• Maintain supporting documentation and schedules
• Document accounting procedures
• Prepare monthly reconciliations;Identify and resolve reconciliation differences
• Assist with the execution of month-end and year-end closing processes
• Assist with annual financial audits, providing necessary documentation and information
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement solutions to streamline operations
• Assist with other finance/accounting projects as requested
• Assist Controller with other finance/accounting projects as requested
• Other duties as assigned
• Must be able to work in person in the Austin, Texas office as needed

Required Education & Experience:
• 5+ years accounting experience, preferably in real estate, mortgage loan, banking or other financial services industry that uses commission compensation for payroll
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
